  1. Hi you don’t know me but I felt compelled to write. I just started reading your site and it is so similar to my partner’s that I thought I would write. Chris (male 39 years old), never drinker, neg for hepc a,b,c,d, hemachromatosis, alpha1, etc. etc. has been on the transplant list in Ontario Canada for 5 months. Cryptogenic (unknown cause) cirrhosis. I hope everything is still well. BTW my name is Michelle (Chris’s wife). .

    • Hi Michelle! It is always nice to know you aren’t the only one going through something crazy huh! I hope your husband gets his transplant soon! What is his MELD? Good luck with everything and God bless!!

  2. Hello Kortni. I hope everything is still going well for you. I would love to talk to you or email. Could you please email me back. I have started a website to encourage people to become organ donors. It is: I am a Christian and know God has a plan for us and for you. Many blessings.

  3. Hi Kortni, I hope you are well.
I’m looking at these pictures of your eyes, and there is a remarkable difference from the first picture (08/11/2011) and the last one (08/26/2011). In the first picture your eyes are sunken in and tired, and in the last one they look very fresh and bright and not sunken in at all. It’s as if the skin around the eyes has come back out. I’m curious to know, is this because of cirrhosis and the fact it was cured (with a new liver)? Thanks so much and God bless you.
